| smt6 piggy back boost questions on e30 m20 Hello everyone. Happy new years! (Kinda late I know)
I'm in the planning stages for boosting my m20. Right now I am thinking over
what engine managment to use. I feel like I have read hours of threads on the internet about megasquirt, and I was pretty convinced of going that route, but then I noticed the SMT6 Piggy Back system. On Their website they say that there is a feature which can activate another set of injectors. To my understanding, that means that if I'm running 0 PSI of boost under 3krpm, then my stock injectors are doing all the work, but when lets say I go into 5krpm, and I will be running 10 PSI, then another set of bigger injectors will take over. Is that right?
How hard would it be to wire the piggy back into the stock ECU? Is it just a simple saturing job? (I'm pretty familiar with saturing BTW)
Could a complete DIY guy with a laptop tune the car by just reading out
the lambda sensor and going up and down the block?
I cannot think of any more questions right now, so I'll be adding anything that
comes to my mind. I hope this thread will clear it up for other people who are deciding on their engine managment. Thanks in advance!
