Well am writing this thread to see what is the most common thing between bimmers, and tuning (specially FI), so we can share our thoughts, and you can consider this question as a fact or as a personal opinion, for the guys who like to do the tuning by their own hands DIY, and for those who like to buy new shinny things, so lets see

What is the best BMW engine for tuning? due to the price and power,or what ever cross your mind!

M10 M20 M30 M40 M42 M44 M47 M50 M50TU M52 M54 M60 M62 M70 M73 M88 S14 S38 S50 S52 S54 S62 S70

personally I just like the M50, and it gets nasty crazy with some serious FI

what about you?

M50 fo sho....

however if I had the money it would be a S14 turbo E30 M3. Damn I miss my E30 325 so much. E39 523i's feel slow. Need manual again.

I vote for S52. Perhaps with M52 you can have the same horsepower for a bit cheaper.
