Question 1993 318is 16v - WHAT TURBO???

Hey all.

I'm thinking about installing a turbo on my 318is (which is currently completely standard performancewise).

I'm looking for power in the mid (after around 3000 - 4000rpm) What options do i have?


Also, should i add a cold air intake and exhaust before a turbo?

Hope i dont sound like TOO much of a newbie!

Just buy an e36 m3, it'll either end up cheaper, or around the same price, and with less headaches than going FI.

A swap is cool too, but the problem there is, you're going to want to then upgrade at least your brakes and suspension, and probably your exhaust and a few other things that would already be done an an m. A swap would probably be less headache/cheaper than going FI, but I think just buying a well maintained e36 m3 is the best choice. Unless you have plenty of money and free time and an extra vehicle to use as a daily driver, and you just wanna mod the hell out of your 318, then by all means, go for it
