Another Home made project.....M88/3.7 E30 M3.

Well it's been a while since I have been on the scene and on the forum....but might as well get back to roots right?

This is my current, oops, well one of my current projects that I am working on...
Nothing blinging or flashy, just straight home style project.

This is JYD II......

1989 E30 M3 fully caged on the inside...

And the heart of this little pup.....A worked up 3.7L M88 motor

I will be looking for a new sig in a few months....

Looks like it'll be a very interesting project indeed! Care to share any plans for it? Also, are you doing this full-time yet?

Thanks for posting the pics and I look forward to your response.

Update 3/25/08

Here are a few shots of a work in progress....of a total home build.

A little mock fit before the real thing and breaking down the block.

Grimey and dirty.....

Now nice and clean, primed up and painted.....

Doing a little head work here....

Not bad looking huh?

More to come in a few days....see more at 'POWER M': HERE we go again - LAUDERDALE LAKES, Florida

Are you a mechanic for a living and if so how did you learn how to work on bmw engines? I 'm a mechanic right now. But mostly I just hang parts on cars. And most of them aren't bmw's. I don't have the e36 tool to keep the cams in place ofr i would take my head off and try to learn. Right now I can't afford to screw it up becaue it's my only mode of transport. I wish there was a bmw specific class i could take without having to go through all the bull. Your cars are wicked. I wish I could do what you do!
