| There was an article in the most recent Roundel where John Calabrese details a troubleshooting session that went way overboard. Ultimately the problem was something very small and basic - the moral of the story being instead of overthinking your potential problems start back at the beginning with the most logical causes.

| Do you remember what issue of Roundel...I have the new one sitting here that I haven't gone through yet. I have a new FPR coming. If that doesn't fix it, I'm going back to the vac leak theory.

| New FPR didn't fix the issue....I'm going back to checking my couplings and clamps.

| I'm guessing you haven't pressure tested yet.... you system should hold ~15 psi for at least a minute (PCV blocked off).

| I, personally, have not done so because my mechanic said with the limited time he spent with it, his tests didn't reveal anything. I'm going to find a place locally that can do a smoke test. I did retighten two couplings last night (intercooler to lower intake pipe and lower intake pipe to main intake pipe). All I keep thinking about is that this issue arrived after I took apart the front of my car to do maintenance. I didn't throw a CEL for a while, but I didn't keep track on how long it was. I'm sure perhaps the clamps were maybe not adequately tightened or positioned correctly, allowing the slightest bit of air in that was not an issue at idle, but perhaps under load.

| Ok......I've gone 300 miles w/o the CEL; All I can remember doing is readjusting the silicone couplers and tightening the clamps. I've boost a couple time now and sometimes it seems the AFR is great, and sometimes it seems too lean. So, I'll continue to monitor it. I've ordered a new walbro fuel pump because I've heard they fail at times....so, I'll keep you all posted!
