I am a ex WRX driver and have found that the kits for Bimmers cost more. I know a guy that runs an Active Autowerke Turbo kit and he likes it, but that kit will run around 8 or so. I also am a fan of turbo power. Sounds like you have a sweet car, i to run a 95 M3 and i love it.

Check out AA's supercharger....or take a drive down to Miami and visit their shop and take a ride in some of their cars to make a more informed decision....

Yes, being stationed in Germany ruins it for all of us and we all end up in bimmers...

turbos are better! but, on bmw's... their harder to work with in less you have a lot of money for a stand-alone or a piggy back. thats why you see most bmw's with superchargers, because supercharger just use energy from the car to aspire power; which all you need is a chip and to get a flash done... therefore no need for an expensive computer mapping system, even though being able to control your car with a computer is nice lol :/ codes on bmw's are too complex!!!!!!!!!!!!
i might be wrong on some stuff, but for the most part, yeah.

How much boost would you have to run on a E36 M3 (with a mid size turbo) to get around 400HP ATW and what types of mods would you need to do to make it wun well.

I feel that we should make this thread a sticky, It is a question that is often posed to the DTM comunity. This thread is defianetly something that comes up often. I truly feel it is really up to the car owner. Depending on what power level you want to achieve as well as the application you are using it for IE: The track/autocross, The Street, or the drag strip.

Is it possible to get 400-450whp with an AA supercharger kit (E36 M3) without going inside the engine(meaning getting pistons and such)?
