recirculating valve

on my asa supercharged e36 328i it has a recirculating valve fitted to it so some of the air goes back into the engine and some into the atmosphere.
If i remove the recirculating valve and connect the 2 pipes that go to the valve together then fit a piston type dump valve will this cause me problems to the car.
