| Automatic M42 FI I have been reading alot about the DASC recently and i want one installed in my 318is e36 M42 190k km. What i would liek to know is has anyone installed one into an automatic Without having to do anything else other than installing the kit. (limited to $$) Also has anyone installed it into a similar car with high kms ? i understnad that not many people have Auto DASCs because there isnt much gain but unfortauntely.. my mum drives my car too.. so it sux sorta desperate, to get a bit more power, not willing to have a engine transplant either because its cost too much |

| the amount of money your gonna spend on the S/C will equal a new engine anyway..... if your cars auto its best to change to manual, power gain is only 30-40hp. Not much you can do with that engine, which sucks...

| Dont get me wrong you can go ahead with it if you want, but if you S/C that engine and compare the numbers to a 2.5L the 2.5L will still have more power and torque. If you get the kit and plus install costs your looking at around about the same price. So i say just save your pennys and wait for a decent price on an engine and gearbox. In the long run it'll end up saving you money and still have enough power.
