Need a good TEC3R tuner in LA.....

...Bought a TEC3R plug and play system 1 year ago from someone that is supposed to be a TEC3R / BMW specialist for 3k. I got the system in the mail in a box, and guess what?, plugged it in and it didn't play. After 3 mos. of going back and forth with the guy up north, he agreed that i would mail it back and he would see what the prob. was. 1 mo. later he mailed it back and guess what?, it still didn't work. Another 3 mo. later and the car is on my trailer on my way up north to see the guy that is supposed to be the specialist. My truck is a gas v8 on 44's, so you can imagine the gas bill for this trip, not to mention i got a ticket on my way up there. I get to this guys house and he tells me he needs the car with the full exhaust on to get it running. Why this wasn't explained before i drove 8 fukin' hours is beyond me?! He finally agrees that the car doesn't need to have the full exhaust to start, so he agrees to fix it after he tells me to buy a new battery cause mine is low and the battery needs to be fully charged. Guess he never heard of fukin' jumper cables or a battery charger. So i buy a new battery at the local parts store, and this guy says why didn't i buy an optima? Like the fukin' car or the TEC3R in the car know the brand new $80.00 battery is not a $120.00 optima! He gets the car to start and says it's all fixed. I load the car on the trailer and on my way back i blow the transfer case in my truck outside of butfuk Bakersfield! At this point i wanna go postal! I'm under the truck Mickey mousing whats left of the transfer case so i can get home. I finally get home and try to start the car and it takes like 20min each time you try to start the car. Driving it is another story! At 4k the car falls on it's face, stalls most of the time and runs like a lawn mower. I've made numerous attempts to get a hold of this guy but he never returns my call. I'm thinking of spending another 3k to have this fuker put in a box! Anyways, i'm done venting! If anyone knows a good tuner locally in LA, please let me know!

Vic Sias??? Sias Tuning Sorry if this is the logical answer, or if he lives too far away from LA, but having met Vic years ago I'd say he is easily up to the task.

Why do I get ythe feeling after reading that post you were thinking plug-and-play means plug it in and drive off without any of the work required in tuning?

Vic was the person i bought it from. Plug and play by definition means you plug it in, and with a start up program that is already uploaded the car should atleast start. I'm well aware that tuning is required to get everything running smoothly. After posting this, Vic contacted me about fixing the problem. I just can't waste another $600-$1000 to tow the car back and forth up north to him anymore. I haven't decided what i want to do with this project yet, but i might just sell it and move on. I'm into this car over 10k and might sell it for the right offer. i bought an 2006 M3 and have been playing with that car and lost interest in this project. Who knows, maybe i'll re-gain interest in it again and finish it!

WELL, AFTER LOOKING AT THIS CAR DETERIORATE IN MY DRIVEWAY FOR A YEAR, I DECIDED TO FINISH IT. I PUT THE CAR ON THE DYNO WITH A LOCAL TUNER AND FOUND THE CAR WASN'T MAKING ANY POWER OR REVING PASSED 4500 RPM. MORE HEADACHES! TURNS OUT THAT IN THE TIME THE CAR WAS SITTING, THE PROGRAM FOR THE TEC3R WAS UPDATED. NEW PROGRAM NOT COMPATIBLE WITH OLD PROGRAM AND MY TEC3R LOCKED UP. I SENT IT TO ELECTROMOTIVE, WAITED 3 WKS, GET IT BACK AND SAME PROBLEM. NO POWER ABOVE 4500 RPM. FOUND FUEL PRESSURE TO BE EXTREMELY LOW 10 PSI. HAVING ALREADY INVESTED AN ARM AND A LEG, I FIGURED ANOTHER ARM WOULDN'T BE MUCH MORE. BOUGHT AN AEROMOTIVE BOOST DEPENDANT FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR AS I BELIEVE THE STOCK ONE TOOK A SHIT AND HENCE MY FUEL PRESSURE PROBLEM. INSTALLED AND FINALLY MAKING SOME PROGRESS. CAR REVS TO 7000 RPM, BUT STILL NEEDS SOME FINE TUNING. I CONTACTED VIC SEVERAL TIMES FOR QUESTIONS REGUARDING THE TEC3R AND HE WAS HELPFULL. I APPOLOGIZED TO HIM FOR EARLIER NEGATIVE STATEMENTS I MADE, AS I SAID I WOULD IF HE TURNED OUT TO STAND BEHIND HIS PRODUCT, WHICH HE DID. I'LL POST SOME PICS OF MY CAR ONCE EVERYTHING IS RUNNING.
