Supercharger for e34 525i

I've been searching for a while for a supercharger kit for an e34 525I. It's a 91 and I have had no luck finding a kit for it. Can anyone point me in the right direction to where to find one, or make some suggestions if a kit for another model will fit.

I've found e36 525i kits but am unsure if they will fit.

Has no-one ever supercharged an e34 525i??

i believe your motor is a m20 and not an M50. Im doing an M50 swap into my 90 525 right now...but if that isnt an option you can look at E30tech.com and they have alot of DIY roots blowers with pictures on the forced induction-supercharger section. Turbo would seem easier but more expensive...but the best mod you could do is upgrade to a DOHC motor.

it's a twin cam, but I know very little about BMW's as I'm more into my rotaries. Bought the beemer as a comfortable cruiser but as usual, I want a bit more oomph

there are plenty of superchargers for you car. from the sounds of it, you have an m50. aa makes a kit for you with a c30 rotex supercharger. put you around 240whp with some other bolt one. maybe give or take a few ponies. a supercharger will cost you around 4k almost new. buy used! everyone is selling there setups it seems for turbo/twinscrew!

you can find them used for 2.5k or sometimes less. just look. i say with 4 k you sit on it till you get a few more buck to go turbo.

turbo was an option, but would rather go S/C. Much cooler sound and instant power, no lag..And no, I'm not a 15 year old wanna-be

by the looks of it, I think you're right. maybe a KKK27 to make it worthwhile...

Seriously that sepends on what you want.....have you thought about that as yet? And your budget...? do you want mild or wild, are you gonna rebuild the heart before you boost her? What are your plans?

okay, I finally got around to it and bought a turbo manifold. I was going to make my own, but found an e36 m50 manifold for a good price. It has t3/4 flange so need your recommendations regarding what turbo to use. What compression ratio is the m50? Any suggestions for other mods required?

Talk to the folks at TCD. You do not need to buy there stuff for them to talk to and advise you. They are very knowlagable and will not pressure you to buy any thing.
