Overheating at Idle

Hi,

my car tends to overheat at idle after a few minutes wait...

but, it cools down after i'm starting to drive...

it's a s/c m coupe, with an intercooler in front...

i've tried replacing the thermostat, cleaning the rad, cheking for leaks, checking the vents... and still nothing...

what else can it be?

Just had a car do the same thing; and it was the water pump... Do you have anything squeaking like the sound a bad bearing on a pulley makes? If so - I'd guess it's the water pump.

That is - after you bleed the system properly... air bubbles can cause this; so can not having enough coolant; so check your fluid levels too...

Then replace the water pump.

Yeah the fan works,

I think that it's a "auto" bleeding system (euro spec car...)
but even if not, that fluid was replaced at bmw so i guess they did bleed it...

i'll go for the water pump and let you know...
