| Hello everyone im kind of new to this site been off and on ive been a vw owner for a very long time and thats the only thing i drove but then sold it and now i picked up a 87 e30 4dr m50 1992 non vanos that was a steal the motor has 96k on it and all the gaskets and fuel pump where replace and etc, i really dont know where to start or look for parts i want decent power around 300hp is fine dont want to go to crazy and dont want to spend alot of money i would be installing it myself and would want to make a custom kit cuz its cheaper so any help would be great thanks again and i think im gonna stick wit bmw for awhile |

| Getting a commercially available kit will be a lot cheaper than building up a custom setup yourself. The M50 responds very well to turbocharging, som select the M50 non VANOS as an engine of choice for turbocharging.

| ED...there's a giant sticky at the top of this thread with all sorts of turbocharging info for our BMWs. Please look through it, that should help answer many questions you may have.
