Broke 3rd at track

got a partial run at track and my third gear went bye bye.I knew the trans would not last long.
Also gonna get George to do a few thing like move my wideband further down stream to see if I can get a little more life and install my three disc set up as my clutch is slipping at the top of power band.
Get George to fix me up so I can back out there

Here is the Vid of 3rd saying see ya and yes I had slicks on the car.First and second were fun.Tried shiftig first early to get out of the spin only to spin second
to the rev limiter.Still on waste gate spring 22lbs

Damn! Sorry to hear about 3rd gear popping...what are you going to use in place of it? Going to try another ZF and see how long it lasts? Going to try an E46M3 6 speed? Or are you just going to bite the bullet and put a Lenco in it?

Funny thing is I have a lenco(friend let me borrow it) but it is so much
work to make it fit maybe one day.I will just put in another zf and hope it last the season.

Why not try the 6 speed from the E46 M3? A manual that's stronger than the Supra's Getrag couldn't hurt....and it's not like it's a hard swap...

Dan from DiffsOnline should be able to build a stronger tranny. Might want to give him a holler instead of just breaking another stocker.

Not only that but you need to set up he cluthc all the time. You really need to have a removable pan over the tranny for a Lenco where you can stand in the car to change the clutch.

So no lenco. E46 M3 Getrag...do it! Other projects may need attention, but this one only needs a trans to be all ready again! Fix the easy ones first!

Hey CC. It was great to see you take her to the strip. I hope that your triple disk and newer ZF are in and we will be seeing you back at the strip again soon. Have you thought about installing a lower psi spring just to see if you can get a few passes without breaking anything?

go run the low nines hope to see you out there maybe even 8s if you can get it to hook and not break anything. the power to weight ratio is there to go 8s that would be sick.

WOAH!!! 8s are WAY faster than you think. The man is in the 10s, and shaving 2 seconds from there is going to be a HUGE struggle. (no offense to Ulysses of course
