Yes but the car wasn;t meant to have high growth slicks under the bodywork, launch hard and hit 150 MPH in the quarter mile. Thse forces may brings some problems. Or they may not.

Let me find some pictures of some Supras with no body modification that have their slicks sitting with a 1" gap or less when they launch. Their bodywork is not obliterated by the trap at all.

If a Supra can do it why then you've got nothing to worry about! Ignore all my comments.

Thank you for your information Kenny. I understand that you are saying this to help me. You don't want my slicks growing and tearing apart my bodywork at 150mph near the trap and neither do I. It's simply not worth it. I will go ahead with 26" slicks. I read that the 28" MT drag slicks grow 1-1.5".

...let's see how things work with the 26"s. Maybe 28"s will work...don't rule anything out.

Should be easy to check. make a tool to measure clearnace .. and set it at 28" plus the growth factor

then see if it hits anything.
