Thumbs up ICS Performance: "Killer Bee M3" Version 3.0 *** Pics Inside

Hi Guys,

I am sure many of you have seen the "Killer Bee M3" in various magazines in the last year or so with a couple of different setups. We are now on version 3.0 featuring our new Top Mount System using on this build, a GT47. In usual ICS fashion, George will follow up on the Q&A portion while I will be bringing you guys up to speed visually.

Please keep in mind that we are extremely busy and don't always have time to upload new pics but rest assured that the camera is always being used for cool stuff around the shop. I will most likely be uploading in chunks so here is something for you guys to swallow, or better yet, get swallowed by what's below:

Brian

I hope the headlight doesn't get sucked into that thing....

Seriously, do you think the turbo will cause any issue with the headlight operation either heat wise or maybe due to something else?

no, it should be fine as long as the blue tape is there.

Anyways, nice project and can't wait to see it finished!

I think you just need to do a bi-xenon projector swap and port that low beam out

Nice work George. You just need to do what the supra's do and take that headlight out when you run. Keep up the good work!

Oh yea, I think the turbo is too small

WOW! thats amazing, I can't believe you were able to get that thing in there. But seeing as how amazing youz guyz are, I can believe it. How are you routing the compressor side of the turbo to the intake tract, its hard to tell.

I am so pleased to see that ICS are the ones in the US to take the BMW to the T6 level. Thank you for having the vision and the courage to move the progression forward into the next dimension George!

I wouldn't think that currently there is any worry about an air cleaner since this is an R&D car. I suppose fit and fitment is important in case a regular street car customer wanted his setup and needed a filter. However I believe the number of drives would be so few that a mesh screen would be enough. Has anyone come out with a mesh screen/spongy filter combination yet? I would think someone should with the tight space constraints and demand with these larger turbos. I know I would have come out with them myself if I were part of the Garrett R&D team.

Will you be trying a 5" downpipe George? That would be nuts.

Are there any plans for some major R&D for the entire drivveline? You can now make the power...the question is, putting it to the ground and keeping parts of the car from exploding. That is the next step right there. Not as easy as turning up the boost unfortunately. Maybe there are different complete rear suspension setups from say the e34 m5 or e39 m5 that can be modified to work with the e36. Strengthening what is curretnly there has been a challenge. Replacing it with something better but keeping it IRS, that is the way to go.
