| I would bet so. I think Andreas @ PPF and Ulysses had posted that a 4" is good up through 1100whp or so, and then the benefits of a 4.5" or 5" can be realized.

| My thoughts. My brother-in-law said his crew was at the track testing their new setup for the NMRA (National Mustang Racing Associaton) and they saw Ulysses car doing similar low 11 second runs, but in the mid 140s. Apparently he was SERIOUSLY babying it out of the hole..I guess even that couldnt save his gearbox though.

| I didnt say it couldnt be done with a 4", but over the 1100whp mark, you might start to benefit from a 4.5" or 5". Ive seen a Porsche 951 (944 Turbo) running in excess of 470whp on the stock sized 2.5" diameter piping. Its not that it cant be done, it just would make better power without the exhaust bottleneck.

| only time will tell how much of a differance there will be between 4.5-5 inch exhaust. on the big hp cars i am curious to see the spool difference.because i know there was a big difference between 3-3.5 and 4inch.my gt42 spools just as fast as the gt40 and i went from 3 to 4 inch |

| That monster topmount set up is schweeet! People wonder about the headlight and airfilter but from the pic with the turbo sitting in the primered area I can't seem to figure out where/how the downpipe is going to be routed. I can't tell if it's just the angle of the pic or not.

| Several options - stand alone, remapped stock DME, or piggy back. Most of the guys running over 500 RWHP are using a stand alone. Piggy backs aren't great. The OBD2 stock DME can only be tuned by a few people. A bunch of others can tuned the OBD1 stock DME. TEC3R's are the most common stand alone but AEM EMS is another option. |
