Software necessary for 3" exhaust?

I'm looking to adding a full 3" exhaust, but I'm curious if I'll need new software? I'm guessing yes, but just wanted to be sure. A friend of mine says I'm looking at adding anywhere from 30-50 rwhp with a 3" exhaust, so that is tempting.

Wheel horsepower? I guess it depends on what you have on the car now. What is your budget?

I assume AA offers a program for a 3" exhaust - do they offer some sort of credit for your existing flash?

You will get a lot of power out of a turbo'd car with a full 3" turbo back exhaust. I put my stock catalytic converter on my car to pass emissions, and I noticed a huge decrease in power, and I still had the 3" downpipe and the 3" exhaust. Once I took the cat out and put back on the straight pipe, I noticed a huge increase in power. I can't give you exact numbers, but if I felt it on the butt dyno, then it had to be at least a 20hp difference or so.

Build the lower end and stage 3 software will take you to well over 500rwhp, stage 4 headers and larger turbo 600+rwhp and 600+rwt 93 octane FACTORY ECU.

Build the bottom end...I guess it is going to be a while then...what do you mean by headers, a different turbo manifold?
