| for 500 HP, you will need to build your engine. You will also need low compression pistons, somewhere between 8:1 and 8.5:1 works well. You will also want cams and springs at the very least, ported heads will help.

| Do you have any suggestions to what brands and where I can get ahold of them? Do I need retainers? What will I need to upgrade the fuel system up to? Im trying to really figure out about how much this project is going to set me back. You said it right " if youre not boosted......your not competition" Pretty much the whole reason why I'm boosting it is to finally shut some of my friends up. You see one of them have a honda civic w/ a SINGLE CAM making 380whp (dyno tested) and he rubs it in my face that he can walk all over me. So you can see why I can't let this happen for all beemers sake.

| best bet is to get in touch with www.icsperformance.com and let them know what you want. They have gt35r setups as well. They just finished a 328 that puts down around 900hp. Like highboosted said you are going to need a built low compression motor. |

| I don't think you need to build your motor. I'm hopig that lower compression with a headgasket and the proper tuning with GT35r should get you close.

| Is it possible to achieve 500whp w/o machining work done. Trying to do all the work myself. 8.5:1 pistons, rods, springs, camshafts, and the turbo setup will get me there? Of course I'll dyno tune it. Just trying to make sure I don't have to bore/stroke the engine. Does the gt35r fit in the engine bay or will I have to go to a remote mount setup?

| yes it is. All you need to do is do a vac .140 mls and arp studs and your set, probably going to need a walbro 255lph, big injectors. I'm doing a gt35r on my car but i did a custom top mount manifold. your gt35r will fit but you will need a new motor mount to clear the intake.

| around what cc injector should I be looking @? When you say new motor mount do you mean a custom setup or is there one i can swap? Any idea as to where I can get a manifold for this app?

| probably 65lb # injectors. As for the motor mount, the racers market, sells one for the E36. I'm not sure the website, but look it up on google and check it out. They also sell a manifold for the E36 it's a T3/T4 w/an external wastegate port. Only like 450 too.
