| Don't turbo which ever car is your daily driver, thats the only advise I can give. Not that it's not reliable, it's just once you start, you can't stop modding a turbo car. That and I'd not turbo a Z without the Track model's brembos, I drove a Touring and it's smaller brakes wern't up to the task....coem to think of it, I wouldn't turbo a BMW on stock brakes and suspension. Safety first.

| I have 13" rotors on the BMW and the Z has cross drilled rotors but you are right it doesnt have the stopping power capable of a turbo application and that is my daily driver but not during the winter right now sporting a Jeep. If i do opt to fix my BMW I am definitly stripping it. |

| If it was my cars, I'd turbo the BMW. Just me because when I was younger I told myself "one day I will have a yellow E36 M3 with a turbo". That right there supersedes all common sense about which car to turbo for me....like the fact that turbo-ing the Z would be cheaper, easier, and easier to tune. That or turbo em both!

| I would twin turbo the m3 you can get lot of power out of that engine chek out these site theres a nice m3 http://www.vsmotor.no/en_pictures.html# |

| I am aware of power out puts the cars are capable of but am also aware of affordabilitie and availabilitie of parts. The M3 is my passion and getting extreme power out of it via turbo is my dream but with $15000 invested i could easily achive over 800hp with the Z with my bmw not so easy even if i did the labor myself. For a turbo M3 with 600hp on a built motor ICS told me it would cost about $30,000.00 |

| 600 would be crazy, try 400 and then see if you will need more. 400 hp can be had easily. Plus a turbo BMW>turbo Nissan all day long! I guess it's an easier choice when you have a vehicle like mine, which I love and am getting back tomorrow with my custom top mount turbo manifold and now I can finish her up and get her back on the street.

| Here by us, 350Z with twin turbo's arent that fast 1/4 in about 12/13 sec, we have m3 3.0 with a single turbo running in 10sec... An the guys nail the m3 by the drags no crap, i would say turbo the M and use the 350z for everyday....

| Get a bigger turbo and rebuild the engine with stronger/lighter parts. If your turbo can only run 10psi, you've got a tiny turbo.

| What is you're overall goal. Because if you want just all out HP and drag, then I say drop both and get something with a V8. If it is something for ultimate street ride/track duty.... then maybe you should look into perfecting all the other area's of the car.... suspension/brakes/interior/exterior and such. Now if you have everything how you like it and all you need is more power, then I think you could hit you're goal with not all that much more money. If you already have a way to tune to 10psi, then you have the hard part done; now you just have to upgrade that turbo to one with maybe a higher boost threshold than the aerocharger but ultimatly more PSI. As far as getting a fully built engine, well I think you could get away with more HP without going crazy expensive. But you would prolly be safe to lower you're compression with some new piston's and then make sure your head is secured properly (MLS and ARP head studs). Also I like 350z's, but I think since how you already have 400hp on the M3 why not just take it to the next step. |
