| is there a universal definition or parts type for each stage? Can you give me an example of say, Dinan or A.C.? I've heard people say and state in threads that they're going to "Stage 2" their car. Just wanted to know what they were talking about. Thanks.

| Stages are for ricers...... anyways. When talking forced induction from a factory NA car, stage 1 would mean turbo/supercharger, non intercooled, low boost, FMU. Stage 2 would add a bit more boost, more fuel control, possibly an intercooler. Stage 3 would up the boost even more, larger compressor, more toys...ect Again, everybody has their own ideas on what a stage consists of. I've seen a "stage 1" kit that equals most other's "stage 5+" kits.... Since I come from the Supra community (and now 3000GT), we frown on "stages" and went with our own terminology. BPU, BPU+, BPU++, APU, APU+, APU++, ect. Which then got carried over to other cars. This terminology applies mostly to cars that came with turbochargers stock, because the mods create the same effect in all turbo cars. It doesn't work as well with NA cars.

| Agreed. "Stages" are a crock of shit, just one of the bad points to come out of TF&TF. A turbo's a turbo, some are big, some are small.

Just finished the current engine build and am in the running in process, planning to get back out there in the next few weeks and crack a better time! Yeah the US always seems to keep the imports out, and the 200sx (240sx) never got the SR20DET there either as I understand which is a bit crap.

| triton stage1 - raising boost out of stock turbo n fitting 3" straight pipe (no mufflers or cat.. gotta luv deisel regulations) stage2 - new intercooler, turbo, intake... most of the time stages follow the same rules as wot ive done
