| Largest core I have seen anyone fit is 24x12x4 but that is overkill and you do have to slightly modify a couple things to fit it. Not sure on your hp goal but I would say 22x10x3 is fine for up to 700hp or more and it should fit no sweat. My last intercooler core I had on the car was 24x10x3.

There's a guy named J.P. that used to have a 700+hp bmw m3 here in Las Vegas before his engine blew to shit in one month period after coming out of pprauto.com - www.pprauto.com but it wasnt there fault something else was wrong but 24x12x4 intercooler was what he was running but the thing is with that size he actually had to literally cut the lower portion of his bumper & did some banging on his bumper to make it fit just right.

| About the positioning of the intercooler, if i wana put another aditional intercooler maybe can make a air flow separator ,dimensioned in the relation of the two intercoolers volume size, for two intercoolers from the turbo and fitt the aditional on the side off the car or maybe under the hood iff its thiner, and make some scoops to let moore air flow, than a air flow joiner right befotre the intake mainfold? What doo U think about that? It iss a bit looney but actualy can work if its done propertly!!! ![]()

Corvettes also usually have side intercoolers cause there is more room near the tires and because of twin turbo and it being a v8. Top mount IC is usually just for rally cars with a big scoop but when going for big power they always scratch that location and do front mount with a large IC since it has the room. So with an M3 the conventional FMIC is best location for sure for piping route, room for placement, air flow and everything! ![]() Quote:

| This is a DSM trick, I am not sure how BMW owners will respond, but here goes: You can cut the bumper support on the car, and hack the front bumper. If done properly, it does actualy look nice, and not like you would think. It is easy, and as I said, if done right, looks sweet. And will allow for a larger FMIC to fit. FYI the largest FMIC isnt always best anyway. You have to look at how efficent it is. A higher efficent smaller FMIC is better than a larger FMIC with the opposite efficent numbers. Look at PSI loss@60mph. If it is efficent, you will have a great core. Just something to help you make an informed choice.

| Probably but if you want any intercooler that is taller than maybe 6 inches to fit up close to the mouth, you will need to either cut the bumper support or remove it like most people do.
