What turbo to run

I am building a custom Turbo kit for my 95 M3 and am looking to make about 300 Hp and run around 8 psi. What turbo would anyone recomend to use? I also need it to have a internal wastegate on it.

I'm a professional welding expert here hehe..& do a lot of custom machine work myself but not at home but with my uncle but let me ask you this..What trim are you looking for exactly??? I'm sure you can build & get a decent stage 2 turbo kit & put down an easy 300+rwhp on e36 m3 but not 300hp if so, thats one weak turbo kit to only gain like 60hp with everything...But if i were you a good decent custom made T28 turbo kit with like .45a/r i believe may be decent for a good 300+rwhp...it doesn't seem really big & all but its decent to be able to handle on stock block with out doing any major sleeving or porting.

this is the garrett turbo catalog. it has the proper displacement and rough hp ratings for each turbo. makes it easier to select the right one.

20g is too large....
16g is a damn good turbo....
18g is perfect, it can put out damn good power at the low boost you are looking for. A t28 most likely will not do it at that low boost level.....
18g, fmic, injectors and a good fuel tune with a AFC2, 300 will be SOOOOO easy!

It should give you about 300 rwhp. I'm nto sure on the efficiency range but assuming it's in the right range a GT28R would defintely give you what you want. ALso a t60-1 would leave room for improvement.

20g too large? I make 300 on 10 psi with the 20g w/ AA Stage I Gen III kit.

20g all the way. After a while 300whp will get boring and you want to boost it up more....trust me.

I would go larger than a 20g...either a T60-1, GT30r or GT35r....trust me, if you are going to do this, do it right and go big now so that upgrading won't cause you to go to a whole new kit....you'll thank me.

eek .45 a/r is small for a b series you'd be at 8psi at idle

I thought that boost does not happen until there is a load put on the engine and turbo (i.e. wide-open throttle). So how can there be 8psi at idle?

Ok, he didn't say if he wants more, also a 20g internal gated is not a great idea... If you want more, take my advice and run a holset hx40.. IMO a 20g is not worth the money, I could think of 10000 turbos cheaper, flow more air, and more potential...
