I want to boost a m50.. waste of time?

looking at boosting a 94 325ic and was wondering if it would be worth while?
Are there any good places to buy bmw turbo kits besides dinan??

Dinan??? Sorry but Dinan makes shitty turbo kits & supercharger kits not to be rude to Dinan but i've heard enormous complains on them big time...if you wanna really turbo your car, i'd suggest going through Active Autowerkes, turbonetics, FactorXengineering - well factorX is now closed but i can still get you stuff from them since i'm good friends with them hehe...But most recommended turbo kits is either going through AA or Turbonetics but both are a lil up scale price but worth paying...Now if you wanna supercharge your car go with either active autowerkes or RMS...But overall for superchargers i'd strongly recommend RMS, RMS supercharger kits are pretty pricey as much as like buying a GT40 turbo kit assembly but its worth paying...

Boosting a 325i engine vs a 328i engine is just as great but really when it comes to boosting to me it really doesn't matter at all what engine you are running from m50, m52, s50, or s52 because all engines can put out almost same potential power output because theres hundreds of different ways of boosting a car, there's no true answer on saying how much HP can i put down with this engine/turbo thats why when you look on websites & when they show HP numbers you can expect dont believe it..Goodluck..

What do you RMS motorsports was jailed??? What happened if i may ask if you do know about because i last spoke to a guy from bimmerforums a few weeks ago actually & he was saying that RMS company has been coming up with huge production market towards putting more edge & fight with like Dinan & Active Autowerkes.

But from what i've read & seen is that RMS does make some outstanding supercharger setups for BMW's i'll tell you that for one thing, now Dinan supercharger vs RMS supercharger, i would think RMS supercharger would blow there supercharger outta the water now when comes to turbo kits & so on & so forth i'd probably go with HD motorsports/engineering turbo kits, Active Autowerkes, or Turbonetics....YES TURBONETICS = HOME OF THE BIGGEST TURBO BUILDERS..

My assumption was based on the info on RMS from M5 some owners on M5board.com about huge ripoffs, stealing, private usage of customer cars etc.

Not a waste of time at all! The Swedish guys will take that engine and make 700hp out of it no problem! It depends on the money you want to spend. For $8000 you could do a full custom kit that can make serious hp. With that you could have a Plug -n- Play Tec 3 standalone to tune it. So when you get more money to lower compression you can go big and changing the tune is easy. Otherwise for more money you could get an AA kit with a crappy 20g turbo and make less power.

Sorry that was a good laugh....
The 20g turbo is far from crap, and that turbo is a td06, which has made 500AWHP all day.... Ive have seen td06 pulling 10s all day, and spools incredible. I have driven a td06 powered car, and lets just say it has enough power to spin 4 tires......

Nope...they are crap. they don't hold boost well on BMW engines. Not sure what they do on DSMs and I don't care. This is a BMW board and a member on bfc named DakarDave has this turbo barely making 400whp and it can't hold boost through the revs shown in a boost graph. Need to go GT35R.
