I saw an article in Grass Roots Motorsports recently whenre they tooka 318IS and adapted the Downing Atlanta Z3 supercharger kit to it and it worked out just fine. Call DA and ask about it.

i was thinking about doing this on my 318i just for the experience and knowledge. if you know how a turbo system works its not that hard to piece one together but its far from easy especially for the 318. first problem i see is the exhaust manifold. i cant remember seeing a turbo exhaust manifold for the 318 for sale anywhere so that would mean building one. then fuel management isnt really a problem but if you have big plans down the road i guess you could get a stand alone and just play with it on this engine and when you eventually blow the engine you can use it on a bigger build. or you could use chips that you could get a custom tune on. the other stuff like intercoolers and turbos, etc. are all just one big problem that will take lots of time to design the locations and what not. any ways if you end up doing it, put some solid time and thought into it. dont butcher it and have some resect in your work. i hope to see some creations on your 318 in the future.

look on ebay for an OBX turbo header. They sell them for the 318 i bought one its very nice.. even has the down pipe and gaskets you need. its for a t3 or t4 bottom mount. Also, CXRacing has a kit for the sixers and you can just cut off the first two ports and weld em' shut. the kit is only like $900 and has just about everything.
