| I've seen what the AEM EMS is capable of, and I am a BIG fan of it. (yes, I know you guys dont get the plug and play EMS....) I worked with the TEC II, and if the 3 is anything like it, it should also be a good system, but given the choice, I would choose the AEM for my car....

| EMS replaces stock computer, though you might need your computer to run some things (My car has separate computers for climate and alarm, ect). You'll lose VANOS if you lose your computer, AFAIK. EMS just has sooo many options and controls. When tuned right it will run smoother than stock.

| Cost depends on how much you can do yourself as well. Megasquirt or VEMS are the least amount of money for standalone systems. Megasquirt can be set up for under $500, and Vems can be set up for under $1000. Both can control any injector size, multiple inputs and outputs. Vems has a built in WBo2 circuit, requiring only the $35 LSU4 WB sensor. Very capable if you can do it yourself, or know someone who can install (wire and tune) for you. I use megasquirt, and have installed on a few other vehicles as well, very capable. http://www.megasquirt.info http://www.vems-group.org matt

| Sorry i took so long to reply. Multiple projects started at the same time is a really bad idea cost and time wise. I went with the Tec3 plug and play system with wide band 02 from Sias tuning as i noticed Dado did this aswell. I plugged it in and it didn't play! I talked with Vic, seems like he's trying to help me out, but it's been like 3 mo. of waiting to figure out why it's not working and i've lost all interest and patience in this project! I've been modding my e46 330ci and 930, cost, time, and enjoyment factor are much better with these projects.
