| Join 318ti.org. I have the DASC kit, it's very nice. It's the best kit available for the m44.

| From past experience, Dinan Motorsports makes a powerful, yet semi-expensive kit that I know is very nice. I watched one on the track out in Colorado, and it could almost keep up w/ a well modified E36 M3, non charged of course. Visit their website, and see if you like it. www.dinancars.com |

| Probably like 170-180hp at the wheels. With Technique Tuning software and a 10psi pulley you can safety get 200hp at the wheels. The ti with a stock DASC is as fast as a stock e36 m3.

| S50 swap. If researched well enough, could cost you about the same as the DASC, but with much more power. I bought a wrecked 95' M3 and swapped everything that would fit. Engine, suspension, transmission, steering rack, brakes, exhaust (modified to fit), drive shaft, many interior parts. My whole swap cost me under $6000 including the purchase of the M3, and labor for my mechanic friend to do the "big" stuff. My car dyno'd 238 rwhp, 228 ft/lb torque. I have 95' M3 S50, w/ BE cams, Tri-Flo Exhaust, 4" intake, and ported/polished head. Before I totalled the car this past summer, I ran with an E46 M3. From a dead stop to 85mph, I was a car length ahead, we were even at 95-100mph, and then at 110-115mph, he started to slowly pull away.

| GO WITH A TURBO!!! Its the only way that car is going to move. Get a thicker head gasket, and boost the shit out of that sucker!!! Why go through all that way to get 180hp? a DASC costs about $5000. You can buy a beat up 325 with 190hp for that much. Get a custom manifold, a t3/t4 turbo, and enjoy 300+ hp. And enjoy all the advantages of an excellent weight distribution, and less weight. The m42 engine hangs behind the shock towers, making handling better than any e36. Why do you think the e30M3 makes doo doo on the e36M3 on the corners? |
