| Mosselman Turbo I currently have a 94 318is which I just bought a 97 M3 motor and trans for. I am in the process of swapping from OBDII to OBDI and if anyone can help with this process, I am open to ideas. During this process, I have found a mosselman turbo kit for the e36 M3 and I am looking for information on these kits. The kit comes with injectors and chip. Are the Mosselman turbo kits reliable because the seller says there is 50k miles on it? Any information will be greatly appreciated. Finally M power and hopefully turbo |

| Mosselman Turbo kit t3/t4 turbo, exh man, intercooler and pipes incl MAS, bov, downpipe and strait 3" exhaust, everything in perfect working oreder. The kit is setup to run 4psi and the turbo has sleeve bearings. Other than this, I do not have much information on it. I have seen a couple people using these kits but they do not seem very popular. I will try to post as many details as I can about the motor swap. I am currently in search of a 93-95 325 motor to use all the sensors, intake manifold, throttle body etc. Also hoping to sell my entire 318 drivetrain that is in perfect running order which can help to pay for the turbo kit. I will try to keep this up to date about the swap and the turbo hunt. |

| You are probably right about doing what is best instead of just getting it done. The main reason I was going to buy this kit now was because the engine is still out of the car and much easier to work on. I also liked the kit because due to the low boost it would not harm the engine as much. I am not looking to create a horsepower monster, which wouldn't be bad, but the car will be a daily driver and I wanted a step above the stock motor. Is there a safe limit to the amount of boost the S52 motors can handle on stock internals? The motor has 59k miles on it and I do not want to run too much boost where it would cause problems. |

| Belive me it wont make a diffrent, if the engine is in or out for the kit. M3 motors with stock internals u could boost 8~11psi with proper kit. try for aatuning.com

| Yeah man it matters how much that kit is, but with a couple mods say upgrade your fuel delivery system and make sure you have decent electronics you can put that puppy to 8si. But see how much the upgrades would cost in comparison to just getting a full kit from somewhere else.

| http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BMW-3...29992156QQrdZ1 I guess that's a good price for the hp difference but I think you could make your own kit for cheaper and get more power. The intercooler sucks and there is nothing for your fuel management or timing management. Plus the piping sucks, that’s not a good BOV etc.. I would only pay a grand for that because it’s so much easier to make your won kit.

| Thanks for the info Ruffneck. I am still deciding about the kit. I figured it would be a good start for my entry into the turbo world but it might be a waste of time/money. I have definitely thought about making my own kit. Has anyone done this and have a cost layout of the parts? |
