5.4 seconds 0-60???

prove it. Dont show me any Car and driver crap...
i know its fast, but its not 5.4 second 0-60 fast...

torque curve superior on an n/a car? definately can't agree with that.. all variables equal a well setup turbo will definately put down a better curve.

Well, MT got 5.5 and Car&Driver got 5.4, I guess they must be lying.

j/k... You know, that is pretty fast. I would have never thought that they'd hit 5.4 with them... I'd still like to show you what some of these volvos are capeable of... next time im in chicago i guess...

.... someones been posting under my nick... ohh well,they didnt say anything "bad"... but anyways

I'm not denying they're capable of a lot, but what I am saying is that a couple thousand in mods will not produce a winner or at least one that kills it.

And what car is almost a 11 years old? They didn't make a 540i until 94', but yes the body style has been around for more than 11 years. BTW, the 540i that runs the 5.4 has 14 lb-ft less torque than the 98s and on.

Car and Driver hit 60 in 6.1 in a stock S70 T5 turbo with the 5-speed.

My dad has a 98 s70 T5, such a perfect sleeper car, very underrated....on the higheay maybe it would have a chance but unless you get the revs up fast off the line your gonna be seeing some taillights off a 540 for sure....

in terms of high speed, i've gone 240 km/h on a highway in Toronto and never felt unsafe....i think it could have done more if I had more road and more balls....

sorry,.. when you said they got the E34 in 5.6 seconds, I thought you were referring to the E34 M5.... which was back in 90-91,.. making it 11 years old... but I suppose you were referring to the 540, now that i think about it

that is probably because of the extra turbo, 0.4Litres and the Quattro system....

I would think it a safe bet that they would still run fairly even (if not for the launch advantage of the S4)

yea....4WD cars are whooping ass at the start line...but after they switch to 2nd gear...the 4wd system will lose some torque and horse power.
