yes , danga danga with any forced induction. But if you build the motor up for a turbo system it will last much longer, allow for higher psi.

The 7M-GTE turbo wastegate spring it set at 7-8 psi (based on friend's 89 Supra). This would be good start point for a intercooled setup with proper fuel control and your ignition timing backed off a few degrees. You don't need a built motor to handle this pressure (several 10:1 6G72 motors run 10 psi intercooled). You DO need proper fuel control and timing control for it to be safe.

i hear from a few different sources that an M50 2.5 can handle up to 15psi on stock internals safely..... anyone else confirm this...

Provided you have tuning, and fuel (A/F ratio) - it will take boost with the VAC MLS headgasket...

You can rotate the turbo by "clocking" it. Then exhaust housing inlet will face upwards in his application most likey. he just has to clock it so that the turbo oil return is facing down, then clock the compressor cover so the outlet faces the way he wants.

with a 92 you can hold boost a little better than the vanos 93+ motors. stronger internals and valve springs

From what i have gathered reading these forums is,

With a 92 2.5L M50, with standard internals and a MLS Head gasket, and the right tuning, you could get to produce about 15psi 350rwhp reliably... apparently the M50 2.5L are the best ones to boost up....

Correct me people if i am wrong?
