in my research i found that the "prettier" artfuly sculpted piping setups were at the cost of the AC, stock motor mount & hours of extra fab time, labor. I came in at about what a DASC would've cost installed. So im really happy with it and I've had Zero problems being piped under the subframe setup in the 4000km's i've put on it. it's also a setup that's widely used. I've even seen pic's of M3's running it underneath, mosselman kit for 318 is underneath too.... actually with regards to speed bumps & animals too, I'm more worried about my $400 intercooler then the cheap piping! my car is pretty "raked" Anyhow got any pics of this "superior" piping setup? starting in 92 the E36 M42 came with Knock sensors. its the 90-91 E30's with M42 that don't have knock sensors. apearantly the obd1 92-93's had beefier internals, "forged" parts, etc same for the 6cylinders too must be some thruth to it, as i've been running around at 7psi on a stock motor with 240,000km's on it ![]()
