Water/Alcohol vs. Nitrous Injection into Intercooler

I will be doing a custom ICS turbo build for my 98 M3 and I am definately going to be going with ann add on for the cooling of the intercooler.

Do any of you guys know what would be better for it? Going with the injection of Alcohol/Water mixture into the intercooler or Nitrous into the intercooler?

Do the alcohol injection but mix it 50/50 with methanol/water
this is alot better since methanol has a octane rating of around 108
and the water will help cool the cylinders.
It also depends on boost level if you will be boosting over 14psi you will need it any thing under you shouldnt.

do you want the alcohol/water just on the intercooleror or are you using it as an injection? the nitrous is way colder when it hits the intercooler. it actaully cools it instead of just taking the heat away like sweat would on us. there is that Cryo2 stuff to that is much cheaper to fill. it think its called cryo2. you should check that out.

Good luck with the build, I would run water/alchohal just because I think it would be cheaper.

Let me get this straight, you are trying to cool the intercooler itself? Just get the cryo2 kit! Spraying nitrous/CO2 on the intercooler helps quite a bit...

They both work well, but I prefer water/alcohol myself. It lowers intake temps drasticly. And it's VERY cheap.

Yes that method is one of the cheapest ways of cooling the intake charge drastically, I looked into this and was going to do it on my SC'er for my old integra..... but I don't think that is what this guy wants to do? I think he wants to cool the actual intercooler not inject anything into the engine it's self..

Why not air to water with a gt35r...(those damn evo's are getting 600whp on those bad boys) I'd say get a good size intercooler followed by water/alky injection. its way cheaper in the long run. nitrous on the intercooler is good, but doesnt last...and its like 30 bucks or so to fill up. Very not worth it. water/alky injection is like running 110gas all the time
