john you know about the stroker for the s50.. it's the kit that aa sells, all he is doing is keeping the block swapping out crankshafts, rods, and piston heads. There is a lot you have to take into consideration though. Do you have a goal hp that you'd like to hit? I remember there being a post awhile ago with a guy who stroked his car and was getting in the 300 neighborhood, with a sc your probably looking at 375 - 400hp depending at what psi your going to be running at.

if u stroked the motor wouldn't it lower the rev limit?

yes it would lower the rev limit quite a bit in most cases but worth it too me

I am also looking into stroking and possibly boring my motor, along with a possible SC in the future. But I can't find a kit to stroke the s50. I know they are ought there, and I actually found one once, but I can't seem to find it again. And there was a company that sold bored shortblocks too, but I can't seem to find them either. Any help here?

Is there anywhere somebody can point me to that has info on what other people have done to their M3s, as far as NA power? A lot of guys just list what they have, but not who did the work, how much $ it was, what the work actually entails, etc. I need "Tuning M3s for Idiots" I guess. Any help?

NA power take all the bolt ons, add sunbelt cams, valvesprings, 1MM oversized valves, headers back exhaust, 3.2L stroker crank with .025 overbore forged pistons, and forged rods (i dont know where to get them), port polish, maybe that ITB setup (not worth it really). If you are going to supercharge it just dont do the cams. Most of those upgrades are found on Bimmerworld or TMS.

figure $75 an hour for labor, heads are usually around 5-6 hours, supercharging 8-10 same with turbo. If you need a good machine shop for port work go down to a local dealer and ask who they use for machine work. That should help you out. Im a mechanic so I do all my own work, saves a bunch.
