The car is nearly finished and after speaking to my workshop on Friday, they think possibly another 3-4 weeks and then I can get it wired up (ECU wiring harness etc) and should be fine to start up. They are just completing the fuel system install and mounting all the safety gauges etc. I have it booked in for a test and tune at my local track on the 28th Feb so it should all be finished by then...........hopefully.

Cheers
Dave

Wow, I have sat here for the past hour reading and looking at the photos of your car. I am now contemplating selling my car or holding off another year to move out and buy and build an E30 M3 Turbo.

Nice build and enjoy it when its finished.

Fuel system set up in the boot running an 044 Bosch Motorsport pump

2nd in line Fuel Filter (bosch).

Finned M-Coupe Diff cover

We started wiring up yesterday. Took 3 hours to disconnect the alarm system. Kudos to Moorooka Car Sound....they install a a mean car alarm and disabler.

Anyways.......

The engine room so to speak.

VAC Motorsports Cam Sensor

The enlarged front bar opening...still looks somewhat factory.

The Autronic ECU and CDi 500R. The ECU is mounted under drivers seat. The CDI under the dash

The all important Mod plate. 1 for when it was converted to RHD and one for the turbo.

One thing for sure, this isn't a 3 day job......oh well, whats another week or 2.

Cheers
Dave

Looking good dave, i have a question though. I think i remember you posting some pics somewhere of a CF airbox you purchased for the car back when it was NA, did you end up using it? the one on the car now looks a little more like the stock one? If you did buy one, was wondering where you got it from? running a set of throttles on the jps now and they match up with the e36 airbox, so was looking to buy an airbox for it but wondering if the $1200+ cost is normal for them or not. Thanks.

Most CF airbox's for the 6 cyl ///M cars run around at 2000+. I know Al (morerevs) got one cheaper but normally they around the 1800 - 2500usd.Try BMWM3Shop.de - E36 - Motor - 01.Airbox - Hochwertiges Zubehör für BMW M3

Markus is a great guy and can be trusted. They who do quality work. Or keep an eye on ebay.

Give Justin Wade a call at Midas Tingalpa. He races an E36 M3 and I think runs one. He will help you sort one out if needed.
