| Rieger- What software/ECU do you plan on using to tune your car? This will determine whether 1000cc injectors are too big. Whats your power goal? Stock m3 internals are good to 500whp or so, which means the 1000cc injectors will be overkill. 400-450whp cars are running 36-42 lb injectors (350cc-450cc) injectors, so unless you plan on making more than that, I'd consider a different injector. A 12x24" intercooler is nice, but what are the specs on it? If its a decent intercooler, it should be more than enough. A Tial 44mm wastegate and a Tial 50mm BOV will work if you decide to use a stand-alone ECU or Nick G's custom blow thru HFM setup. As far as the Greddy Profec 2B goes, I have used the unit myself and I personally don't like it. I'd consider Greddy's Profec S or one of the Blitz units. Another good boost controller is the TurboSmart E-boost controller/gauge. Good luck, Joe

| i still am undecided on the software, also, do i have to go with a stand alone Fuel mang. if i use the Tial bov and Tial wastegate, and if so, what do you suggest for a stand alone system for my car? |

| Since the Tial 50mm BOV is a open atmosphere BOV that can't not be recirculated back into the intake tract, you will either need to use NickG's custom blow thru HFM setup or a standalone. AA's "draw thru" HFM setup is not ideal for open atmoshpere BOV, they need Bypass Valves or BOV's with a recirculation kit. I'm not a big fan of stand-alones unless you plan on making a lot of power or know someone who can REALLY tune the car(theres more to tuning than just playing around with the WOT map). You can make up to 650whp on a stock ECU, so I see no need for a standalone. Try contacting NickG @ www.techniquetuning.com or calling Active Autowerke (www.aatuning.com) . Tell them what you want and see what they recommend.

| Dado- Just because no one has pushed the limits of the stock S52 pistons doesn't mean that they are low. I personally believe the limits stock internals of the S52 motor are much higher than people believe them to be.

| LoL, I replied to the other thread before seeing this one. Stock internals (being genaric, never dug into an M motor, so ill be vauge) are usually more overbuilt than most people think, a 10:1 NA DOHC 3.0L v-6 in a 3000gt withstands 26psi of boost pressure (30psi occasionally), fastest 1/4 time is 11.450@129.83MPH, and it's FWD. A 8:1 DOHC 3.0L v-6 in a 3000GT VR-4 withstands 790.29AWHP with stock internals. The stock internals in a 4.2L OHV v-6 withstands 448RWHP daily driven. The thing that is common between all these are the ALL are on standalone engine management systems with proper tuning and are raced and driven regularly (well that and came stock with forged cranks, all had cast pistons). I'm actually slightly surprised your engine lasted as long as it did (running a wanky tune?) on the stock ECU, Dado. M3 Kid, I'm with you on the M3 motor being capable of reliably putting out 500WHP on the stock bottom end, but to get there and be drivable and reliable I feel a standalone is nessessary, as well as headwork as NA heads primary function is port velocity and a turbo's heads primary function is flow. |

| 1000cc is way too big...you want complete atomization of the fuel...Not splashing... Just because you have them doesnt mean you should use them... I think you need to do more research before you post so you can make better questions... The BOV and the WG are universal...They will work on any setup as long as you have the pipe with the right flange...Regardless if its a civic, a bmw, or a ferrari, they are going to use a supplied flange atached to a pipe running off of the manifold...So YES it will work...But you have to make it work... -Keith

| if someone is gonna push the limits of teh stock internals, they might as well spend some extra cash and get water injection as well just to be on the safe side |
