ESS SC KIT FOR 540I SPORT

I ASKED ESS ABOUT AN INTERCOOLER FOR THE KIT I AM ABOUT TO INSTALL ON MY 2003 540I AND THEY SAY THAT IT IS NOT NECESSARY TO INCLUDE ON THE 8PSI I WILL BE RUNNING.THEN I CALL KO PERFORMANCE UP,IN MIAMI,AND ASK THEM AND THEY SAY THEY HAVE NEVER SOLD AN INTERCOOLER WITH THE KIT I AM INSTALLING.I LIVE IN THE SOUTHEAST USA AND JUST FEEL THAT SITTING AT STOP LIGHTS AND DRIVING SLOW TRAFFIC,I INTEND TO USE THE CAR AS AN EVERYDAY VEHICLE,THAT THE CAR COULD TEND TO BUILD UP HEAT THAT IN TURN WILL TELL THE COMPUTER TO RETARD MY TIMING AND THUS TAKE HORSEPOWER AWAY.I WANT TO PROTECT MY ENGINE AND KEEP THE HORSEPOWER UP BUT, WONDER AM I BEING TOTALLY ANAL SINCE THE MANUFACTUREER AND ONE OF THE BIGGER REPS FOR ESS SAY IT IS NOT NECESSARY?I ALSO THOUGHT ABOUT AN AQUAMIST SYSTEM AS AN ALTERNATIVE...MAY 8TH THE ESS SYSTEM STARTS TO GO IN THE CAR......

You should check your caps lock...
but yes definately get an intercooler - hot air is ROUGH on your engine, especially in upper rpms, plus cooler air gets you much much more horsepower. I guess an intercooler is not necessary.. but it is definately worth it.

hey do you guys know of a nice 7 series or 5 series that they make alot of porformac parts for i wana make like 500 hp to the wheels if so which one and whar ca i get the parts pleas dont say m5 and il looking like 93 to 97 in year

oh ya i would got whit the intercooler i live in florida and you can see a dermatic diffrenc in the proformanc of the car in the summer and winter also i would not take the chanc it is your motor not your interior it what makes your car go.

Wow. thats quite the setup! Why not get the intercooler custom made of you cant find one? You can match a spearco intercooler (for example) to your setup, i imagine.
