Head distancer question

I made this 2 mm's tall distancer from stainless steel on a laser cutting device, and i wanna use it for an Opel 2000 16V engine.
Any1 has experience if this can be used between 2 normal gaskets to lower the compression?
I can make a distancer like this for any kind of engine and with any height it's needed.

this is what HPA (HGP in Europe) does for their VW turbo and twin turbo kits for the R32, they use a spacer sandwiched between to stock gaskets.
