| I am basically in the same position that you are currently and my thoughts after some research are the following. AA makes a very solid kit, the only stage 1 kit that offers a front mount intercooler and the other nice thing about their kit is the separate oil cooler and reservoir for the S/C. However, if you get the AA kit, the 285whp or so that you will make will be it, since the Rotrex kit is not upgradeable past the out of the box 8.5 psi. I decided in the end, that if one was to go the S/C route, a Vortech based kit like Dinan/RMS/ESS/ERT would be the way to go. This is because the Vortech kits can be upgraded with the addition of an aftercooler or water injection and ran up to 11 or 12 psi, producing quite a bit more power. I saw that as a big plus, since you weren't locked in at 8 psi down the road when you had more money and wanted big power. However, after researching all this I came to the realization that the Technique Tuning kit really offers what I am looking for, for about $7-8k. The cost really isn't much higher than a stage I S/C kit that wouldn't produce near the same amount of power. The TT kit is definitely much cheaper than a stage II S/C kit and would still probably produce about the same amount of power. I've never heard a single bad comment about the TT kit and of course the sky is the limit as far as upgradeability once you go that route....I've decided to wait a bit longer, save up more money, and eventually go that route myself. Good luck!
