| Supersprint Headers with my Dinan S/C M3 -97 Hello there! I'm going over to the US this summer, and I'm thinking of buying Supersprint headers for my Dinan M3. Today I have a Vortech V2 blower with Dinan's Freeflow Exhaust and CAI. The exhaustsystem is otherwise stock. So, what will I need? Supersprint Headers ofcourse.... A connecting pipe of somekind to connect to the cat? Is there any idea of removing to stock cats and install a racing cat or a resonator? However I read that a resonator Isn't leagal and that it doesn't make that big difference. Or maybe it does on a S/C M3? And I also read that I have to drill holes to install the O2 sensors. I hope somebody has done a install like this, and can share the info with me Hope you can help me! Best Regards /Toby |

| Hmmm, so a original Euro M3 exhaustsystem has better flow then the SS Headers for the US M3? Will the Euro M3 headers fit on the US engine. If that's the case, then I can just as well buy SS Headers that are for the Euro M3 ![]() Which euro exhaust are you reffering to? 3.0 or the 3.2? Sure it's quite easy to find some used Euro Headers for a good price here in Sweden, but if there's a lot of trouble then it's not worth it. /Toby |

I had mine Jet-Hot coated. Check them out here Now remember if you run the Euro stuff you need either a Euro Cat section or the Euro SS mid section (no cats). Also you will need a Euro cat-back (or other make or Euro cat back, SS for one) or you Dinan cat back must be modified to fit to the larger Euro pipes. As far as OBDI or OBDII. I am using OBDI headers and they have bungs for O2 sensors at each collector (2). I am not sure but I think OBDI and OBDII Euro headers are the same. Bill P |

SS does make a 60mm race version but it is only cat-back. They also make a "race" cat section but not sure if 60mm. The best flowing headers are KK. They used to be $2500 but now can be had for $1400. These suckers are HUGE. BP |

| all of the us spec race components are 2x50mm including the headers. The euro spec components are all 2x60mm. And yes, they do have euro headers (the race version)

As you can see in the links below the Super Sprint componets (part numbers) for OBDI and OBDII are 100% the same. Also notice that in the race systems only the mid section and muffler (better flowing & much louder) are different. The headers are 100% the same. SUPER SPRINT EURO BMW E36 M3 3.0I - RACING SYSTEM SUPER SPRINT EURO BMW E36 M3 3.2I - RACING SYSTEM SUPER SPRINT EURO BMW E36 M3 3.0I - STREET SYSTEM SUPER SPRINT EURO BMW E36 M3 3.2I - STREET SYSTEM My main point is this. The thread starter lives in Europe. In Europe you can easily find a Stock OEM Euro E36 M3 headers or complete exhaust system for real cheap. This will bolt on your US spec M3 no problem. It will make the same/better HP/TQ then the more expensive Super Sprint. Now if you can find used Super Sprint system at a good price, go for that. Both flow about the same, get the system that will cost less. Usually it's the used OEM that costs less. Hope this helps. Bill P |
