I researched all of those kits, as well as active auto. and for the big money they charge, It was in my best intrest to spend the small $3,000 for a kit and that way build my own ECU/fuel system the way I find it best. No one kit out there is capable of directly bolting on 500hp to the car. They all have to be modified and even AA's chip is tuned to work with their Bolt on kit. If you modify that kit your going to have to get your own Stand alone or other controller. I honestly haven't seen many people with a TSI kit. and i don't trust a company that looks a bid shady like that to take charge of controlling my ECU, let alone AA.

I'm loving this...

It finally sounds like people are beginning to realize that metal tubing is metal tubing and turbines are turbines no matter where you get them....and that 10 grand for "research and development" is a crock of B.S.

Sink some of the money you're saving into a bigger turbo & custom tuning and you'll be set. I'm most likely going this route in a few weeks. I think though that I'm going to immediatley relist the turbo in the STG1 kit on ebay as brand new then use the money towards an intercooler upgrade. The one in the kit seems really puny and the ebay ad makes no mention of its dimensons or max power rating.

exactly true. A new intercooler and piping is a definite from this kit. I already decided to get a Spearco through Turbonetics, and the piping I think I'm going to call EMC since he lives about 15 minutes from me. he makes some nice looking piping.

the picture is a general picture, but using a T25 is a joke.

that is still a really small turbo. It's smaller than a t3/T4 and that is still a small turbo for the inline 6 engine.

A T3/T4 or T60-1 is perfect for a 325/328 and low boost

a T3/T4 is borderline for the inline 6. if you read the entire thread the debate isn't really over low boost. I am building a 400+hp car and a t3/t4 is way too small.

I've heard that Audspeed now offer a kit with T3/4 turbo as stage one and a T60 turbo as stage two.

I am getting the T3/T4 stage 1. He changed his prices a lot like right after i bought my kit. I'm selling the t3/t4 so if anyone wants it let me know, I am getting a bigger better Turbonetics.
