I was going to get the kit, install it, run the car for a bit, drive over to sound performance in chicago and dyno it to get baseline numbers then start the build up for the engine. I mainly want to see what the kit is going to do on the stock 325 engine. But as for getting the turbo from him, I might just get my larger turbo through turbonetics. I did speak with him on the phone about an hour ago. He basically explained the whole kit to me. Where the intercooler piping comes in 2 1/4" dia. The downpipe is 3", his manifold is real similar to Turbonetics bmw turbo-manifold. Also he was telling me the kits are coming with black powder coated intercooler pipes instead of polished. no big deal, I'm not keeping those pipes anyway. some of the items like the BOV I will replace with the HKS I already have. It's not a cheap kit, just based for someone looking to get like an extra 60hp to the wheels. He told me they dyno'd a stock 325i with the turbo kit and got 235hp at the wheels.

Ruben has been awsome to deal with for the last 6 months. I called him back in november and discussed the kits with him for about 20 minutes on the phone. more than helpfull guy with a lot of people throughout dtmpower forum and bmw-forum.com getting great parts from him.

The turbo kit comes with a cast manifold, instead of the stainless steel tubular he originally had. He said he changed it because they were cracking and his customers were returning them so they went to the cast instead. Stage 1 I believe comes with a T3/T4 hybrid, with a .63. No ball bearings so I will just use it to start off until i get things going. his stage 2 has a nice GT35R dual ball bearing.

It's a better deal than buying through AA or a lot of other places. It's one thing I will never trust someone else to do and that is put their own chip in my car to control air/fuel/timing. I am going to buy my own electronics therefore I feel safe when I go to run a lot of boost on my motor.

Ordering thicker head gasket and custom J.E. Pistons next week. I'm still working out some things for the top end as well.

I ordered the kit last week, should have it sometime the end of this month and hope to have the motor in works as well. Pistons have not been ordered yet, nor has the head gasket. I am still shopping and deciding.

If you're getting new pistons, i would say forget the head gasket. Maybe o-ring it, but, just get pistons w/ a dish in them to control the CR... head gasket is the ghetto way to do it. J/W, i am considering JE pistons, and i wanted to know how much they are charging you for your setup, and also what CR you plan on going with

He has always kept in contact with me, called me several times. E-mail and call him, and he will definitely get back with you regarding it. Yes the stage 1 kit is only $3,000. Understand his kit does not come with electronics or injectors. I am only getting this kit because I want to do my own air/fuel controller setup.
