| well I am e-mailing him today regarding it. I am really anxious to see what my car can do with a little boost into it, and i don't see were his kit couldn't be upgraded to run the same as AA's and others. |

| I ordered a manifold from audspeed, and was expecting it to look like a POS. But, infact, I was very impressed with the build of the manifold. It looks really good. He also sent me a downpipe and wastegate pipe, and both of those look very good as well. So I would give a thumbs up for the quality of the product. However, it took about 6 weeks to come in and I was pretty upset with that. I actually kinda wish I would have bought his kit. I have spent about that much money trying to piece a low boost kit together and I still have all the piping to run.

| this is why i'm callin him to see if he has any of these kits set up and ready to ship earlier than 6 weeks. I don't think i will buy if he tells me 6 weeks to ship. Thats just too long to wait for a whole kit. |

| yeah well he told me 1 week and it would be here, I live about a 4 hour drive away from him, and everytime I would e-mail him he would say in a few days, in a few days, and finally 6 weeks later I have it, He sent me the downpipe for free for the delay though, and I am very happy with the looks of the cast manifold, though i have not installed it yet.

| yeah I think the turbo kit manifold (tubular) and separate manifold (cast) is different. But the cast one that I got looks nice just to show that workmanship isn't horrible, i will post some pics of the downpipe tommorrow to show the quality, only thing though, is it doesn't look like it is mandrel bent, which restricts the flow slightly. But, it you just want to put your feet in the water with a turbo kit and plan on upgrading almost everything later if you want a turbo beast, I mean everything, its a pretty good kit. If you replace the parts piece by piece it doesn't feel as expensive. Then again if you have the knowledge to piece a kit together yourself such as I am doing you can save money and get everything you want and when i want to go from 8psi boost to 14psi, all i need is a headgasket, and turn up the boost (plus more fuel of course) and that way I won't have to upgrade and am doing everything at once and saving money in the long run.

| a custom kit was my original plan in december. We had the car apart then ready for work to be done, but by the time I ordered my manifold, turbonetics turbo, and intercooler assembly alone i was already at $3,500 and not nearly close to being done. I had priced out manifolds looking for the manifold with the best flow specs and one of the guys on here was making tubular which i believe dado was looking into getting as well. but he wanted $1,000 or more for them and I wasn't prepared at that time to pay that much. one question i'm still contemplating is whether or not to get the audspeed stage 2 with the GT30R turbo or his basic stage 1 with the smaller turbo. any one with a bit of knowledge on that turbo if you could let me know your thoughts that would be great. |

| I know that is a great turbo, you wouldn't have to upgrade it later, but for his upgrade price you could buy one anyway. They are really good, but a little pricey, as you can see over $1000 I got my turbonetics t3/t04E 60trim, good through 400rwhp, brand new shipped for $500 off of ebay and it is a comperable turbo.

| I just put a bid on the turbo kit, stage 1. Reason being if you pay him an extra $1,100 you get only the bigger turbo. This way I pay him $2,500 and i get the T3/T4 turbo to start with and i have that extra $1,000 to put towards my bigger turbo once i have everything figured out down the road. do you see where you would get screwed otherwise, because you can buy the GT35R from him seperate for $1,145 which means you would end up with 2 turbos. now all i need to do is get my block out and send it away to be bored out to m3 specs. bmw turbo kit Last edited by Arman S : 04-03-2005 at 06:00 AM. |

| yeah, good idea, that's what I was thinking, that you could upgrade the turbo later, b/c his upgrade price is as much as you buying it alone. Also, your not planning on rebulding your bottom end yet, are you?
