| Vanos question i have noticed that my vanos kicks in around 5200 rpms, is this the point where it kicks in for you. i once read it was supposed to kick in around 4500 and i just wanted to see what you guys have experienced, this is on my 325i btw |

| thats the main reason i am asking, the technition as the dealership told me around 4000-4500 but on mine that low Hp section is usually between 4500 and 5000, do you think something could be wrong with it? |

| from what i had heard about a vanos is that it is a lot like a Vtec on a honda, and on my friends honda, when it kicks in the engine sound different and you get a boost of power, and what i also heard was that right before the vanos kicks in there is a low hp like you said, so i am assuming that this si the point that it is kicking in |

| From my 325is and M3's I have driven it seemed to be around 3500 RPM or around there. I doubt you have anything to worry about.
