| Boost and Air/Fuel Gauges Where can you get boost and air fuel gagues. The shop wants $420 installed... ($70 + $150 + labor) Is that a good price? How long does it take to install, how hard is it? ....... Where can i get the gauges with black face and orange lightning to match the interior.

| get a good manual and install it yourself. Its pretty easy. just splice some wires, i think 4 total for 2 gauges. www.summitracing.com has a lot of gauge choices

| EZ, Time Consuming but EZ If you take the time to make an adapter out of OEM parts for the o2 you have the ability to reuse the wiring if you replace the sensor. Find a junked bimmer and cut the o2 sensor connectors of the line to the ecu and the one to the sensor. Solder the wires together along with the wiring for the sensor and you had made small extension/adapter. This is how I did my SAAB turbo. Here's a qwik drawling I put together w/ Photshop and the ETK ![]() You can pick up a line for the vac/boost guage practically anwhere that manifold pressure flows. ~Phil

| Don't waste your money on cheapo narrow-band O2. Get a wideband, or don't look at AFR at all. Hell, for that much money, at least get an EGT gauge instead. Boris

| I do not think a BMW O2 sensor will work...... They work off Impedence where as all others work off Voltage........ I just simply welded a Honda O2 sensor into my exhaust. If you are looking for a way to run a boost line unbolt the factory fuse panel in the engine bay and and there is a grommet located right there REAL EASY and you do not have to drill any holes through your firewall. |
