| yea, definitely good luck trying to find a turbo kit for under $1500. the cheapest exhaust manifold / turbo i've found are about that much.

| My best advise is to learn how to weld. You will save A LOT of money if you fabricate your own parts (exhaust, charge pipes, exhaust manifold). I think its possible to do it for 1500, weld your exhaust manifold, buy a turbo/all oil lines, buy piping for the charge pipes. Run a piggyback ECU for your fuel needs, or even an extra injector controller. Its possible, but you cannot buy a kit for that much. matt

If you want your turbo kit to work! $1500 will definatly not make that happen. Plan to spend around $3500 and thats only if you or a good friend can weld and knows where to get wholesale prices on piping, manifold, turbo, software...etc.Russ

| you guys have no knowledge of turbo! do you? www.homemadeturbo.com, dont even diss this site becuase they have hondas, they are a kick ass site full of real mechanics, i know some of them personally and they are good. you can get a td06 20g (same as in aa kit) for 300, i will even sell you one if you would like, then get the good manifold. or better yet homemade turbo it, its plenty reliable, my dad has a homemade turboed celica that has been driven for 55000 miles trouble free!

| I know a guy that used homemadeturbo.com to boost his d16 on his Honda and the kid ran a high 13 real imppresive. But what I can say and agree with alot of other people is to just do it right and make sure you boost the BMW correctly and not nigrig it. Thats my .02 tho.

| but for the money you save it can be astounding, its not really a nigrig, it works great, like i said my dads car prolly runs close to 12's modded and not a single problem!
