| dynoed my car @ icsperformance.. and as promised here are my results.. we only reved to 6500RPM... and we still need a bit more tuning.. but the power numbers are pretty good.. Here's the specs: Redline: 6500RPM boost: 10.3 psi gas: 93 octane gas temp: 72.10 F Specs: 1998 Z3 2.8, stock engine, AA trackpipe, M50 manifold, RMS tuning (in progress), euro 3.5" HFM... And here's the dyno... the first few runs, ICSPerformance had issues getting proper RPM readings... So, the car was heat soaked.. the best run was yielded: ~325rwhp, ~288rwtq with a redline of 6500RPM. NEXT STEPS: 7000RPM rev limit, and we're going to try to get about 11lbs of boost... ![]()

| the best part is the tuning isn't done yet.. I think with a 7000 RPM redline and some more tuning.. we could see ~350rwhp/290rwtq

| The dyno performed read Daves power readings up till 6476 RPM. Although the peak torque number will not change on this dynosheet(it may with some clean up tuning on the way) the peak RWHP will change taking the readings until 6800 -7000 RPM. My calculations say if the torque tapers off the same for the rest of the graph until 6800 or 7000 RPm, that dyno sheet will show around 335 RWHP to 6800 RPM and 345 RWHP till 7000 RPM. With some more tuning and a 6800 or 7000 RPM redline, I see 350 or over RWHP with 290+ RWT, not bad from a 2.8 and 10.3 lb boost!!! I told you your car rips Dave!! ![]() |

| Besides compression ratio, ignition timing controls peak cylinder pressure for a given level of boost and temp. I'm just curious how peak cylinder pressures compare to a stock engine using your software which controls timing under these elevated boost levels. Not doubting just curious. |

| I deleted what I wrote because I reread your question and misunderstood what you were asking. The person to answer your question is Phoenix2005 which is Osh , owner of RMS. I cannot speak for him, he is the tuner extraordinaire. I am not affiliated financially with RMS, just a friend of Osh's and a BOOST JUNKY with a few setups under my belt. ![]() |
