| You will need a lot of different pieces in order to get it to work right. That is the reason they sell kits. I would suggest that if you cannot afford a kit from a reputible company, then you should not get a turbo. You might save money at first but in the long run it will cost you more. Good luck...

| that is a good point, in reference to the T67 look at it this way if i remember right that turbo is much larger then the turbo Dado is running and he has one of the most powerfull e36 m3's there is. the only one i know of that had more power was a full drag car. Tom |

| I can see your future......oh, whats that.....its ........the search button........ but seriously, this has been beaten to death, The thing to do is simply replicate a pre-existing kit unless you are very knowledgeable about building turbo kits, it takes a lot of research, and a lot of time and money no mtter how you cut the cake, I could guess what the kid that told you you NEED a T67 turbo drives......anyways, there is so much to consider when putting a kit together...I suggest you contact moadster on bimmerforums or EMC, they can steer you in the right direction, both have custom built turbo's, you should know that you ought to be expecting to still spend around $6k or more for everything inlcuding the maintanence headaches that will come along with your "custom" turbo.....

| don't get caught up in the stages with AA, Dado runs what is considered to be a full stg3 setup, but he also has the weight dropped considerably in his car and it is essentially a track demon, it is not street legal... figure out what sort of power you want to make and then research it from there, as far as what AA kit you want, look at the site...see the one that says.....OBD II? Tat is what you want, Rich

he runs it at two different levels, but i think the lower one for most of the time. i think the higher of the two is 14psi and the lower either between 7-10. i cant remember. but like others said, search and ye shall find. |

| Just make your own. It's not hard, just have to know what to get. You can get exactly what you want for the same price or less, all it does is take the hassle out of it. And some kits come with some crappier EMS systems ... and shit you don't need, so you can get other crap instead. t67's are pretty big turbos though. it will work .. any turbo will work ... you just need to find what HP goals you want and how much boost you want to run .. then find an appropriate sized turbo, with the right dimensions, wheels, and trim levels to fit your car, driving style, and how you race .. i.e. quarter mile or road course. |

| anyone considering making or even installing a turbo kit with questions about it should read "Maximum Boost" by Corky Bell. yes, its a corny name, but the guy knows his stuff and is current with turbo tech not like some of the books out there that are all about carbs and crap like that. just a suggestion! later, ben |

| As Ben suggested, Corky Bell's book is a MUST READ when purchasing or making a turbocharger kit. I made my own, and it really isnt THAT hard. I would say the hardest part is managing the engine management. I'm sure with the obd systems it might be a little harder, but you can always upgrade to a standalone engine management or have a custom chip burned. Ben, by the way, have you finished your Megasquirt kit yet, I havent talked to ya in a while. matt

| T67 wouldn't be bad, its a TD07 exhaust with a 25g compressor, but there is so much more work and parts to do, i'd suggest just buying an existing kit and upgrading from there if you want. I can't imagine the TD07 exhaust housing is much diffrent from the TD06 used in AA kits, if thats ture then you could just bolt that up to an AA Kit if you so desired. I have my old AA kit FS if anyone is intrested.
