| How much boost you looking to put into your engine? I've got a new AA Rotrex with mounting bracket for an E36 and intercooler, but the thing is, this unit isn't much good beyond 9PSI, I've got a built engine that I'm looking to put 16-17PSI into, that and I had hoped the bracket would of been an easy rework to fit onto my car....it isn't. Of course it's just these components, you'ld have to get the piping, bypass valve, belt, fuel pressure regulator (unless you get custom programming vs. mechanical tuning) and hoses and stuff, about another $1000 over the price of the parts I'm selling. The spearco intercooler core is 22x6x3, overall length is 28 inches. I'm looking for $1300, which is just a little over what I paid for the s/c and bracket, the cheap intercooler comes with a funny story, but I'm just looking to recover on my mistake of my initial belief that this s/c could supply the boost I'm looking for. The Rotrex s/c is still new, never been used. If you have the ability or know of a place that could put it together for you cheaply, then this could be a cheap solution thats new vs. used. PM me if interested, if not, it'll show up on ebay eventually for anybody else interested. |

| I am selling my ERT Sc off my 1995 M3. Will fit right in your car with software and all. Looking for about $2650. Let me know. Of all the SC kits out there ERT and Dinan have the LEAST problems. Stay away from RMS and ESS. The AA rotex is good but in my opinion to small for the M3 engine. |

| Ebay, i paid 750 for a powerdyne bd-11a which is like new, internal cog drive with no oil, "buldogge" made me a custom 6.5" pulley that put me at 12psi, i welded all the piping myself, and i cut the bracket out of diamond plate aluminum (plasma cutter). |

Also in diamond plate aluminum are you reffering to the stuff Truck tool boxes are made from? If so it will not hold up. My ERT ( and all others I have seen) bracket is almost 1" thick to support the weight of the SC and to keep it from moving under load. That Aluminum is what 1/4" thick. Unless they make same thick stuff I don't know about, that stuff will bend and flex over time, and not a long time either. Ohh by the way, a powedyne is not designed to run 12 psi unless you have their gear driven race unit. Click below for dyno graph. This is my latest Dyno pull. My car in green. This is after we removed the ERT underdrive crank pulley. The other dyno run was of a 3.5L RMS StageII+ with 8.5:1 CR, rods and all the good stuff running 14+ PSI. I do not know how RMS got 3.5L out of the s50 block but that is what I was told. It was at ERT for software work as the owner thought he was not making enough power for the $$$ he spent. If you look at my run next to the RMS car you can see what good kit design and good software can do. The RMS motor has 500 CC mure displacement ran more boost and made about 30 HP more then my car. http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum...postid=1910336 Bill P Last edited by Bad Bimr : 02-17-2004 at 08:45 AM. |

| Dahman45: where in CT are you? let me know we have some meets coming up in the next few weeks, and on topic, no problem with used super/turbochargers, the only thing I would say is to have a little slush fund for bits and pieces that may need replacing or whatever....but Bill's kit, is priced very well, and is very tried and true, he has seen monster ##'s with it and it is a well built kit to start off with... | Well its much thicker than 1/4" and it runs 12psi just fine with the upgraded kevlar belt, and it holds up perfectly with no flex at all, but since your the expert you know best!!! Sorry you don't know how to do anything yourself. |

I did not see that anywhere. I have not seen "diamond plate" that is thicker then approx 1/4" and I said that in my post. My Powerdyne has the "kevlar" belt. Again if I am not mistaken, after their re-design, all Powerdyne's have that belt. Chuck Stickly, Alfred DuPont, Will Turner, Pete McHenry, Jim C (to name a few) have all told me a Powerdyne will not last long at more then 8 PSI on a BMW application. I guess they know nothing and you are the expert. No, I guess I don't know how to make things. Never said I did. That;s does not make my any less then you. Most on this board cannot do what you did. I try help and am accused as a knoo-it-all. I bet your engine compart ment looks "Bling Bling" with all that diamond plate. But why stop their, Use those skils. Make a Diamond plate manifold. Use some 5" Sewer PVC from the hardware store and make a "killer intake". For a filter, design your own. Collet strands of carbon fiber, kevlar and cotton gauge. Interlace all of them to make a "K&N Killer" Massige Air Flow. And while at Home Depot pick of a spray can of "chrome" so you can "Bling Bling" the intake and color match it to your brace. | Well Bill P's a FAG. Your about as funny as that tv show becker. And the powerdyne last plenty long, the s/c doesn't know its connected to a BMW. Why don't you take your 9th grade lame ass comments to a honda form. |

I bet when you are hitting 7000+ RPM that Powerdyne sure knows it's not on a Ford or Chevy. My Powerdyne kit is for sale. Everyone that has inquired about it has been told strait up that this is a "street kit" and not designed for high boost. If you want a high boost kit use a Vortech or the Powerdyne "gear driven" unit. Are you running 12 PSI on stock internals? That is a "very smart" thing to do. Unless you took the "plasma cutter" and used it to shave the tops off the pistons to lower the CR. Another way would be to use your "diamond plate", shave off the diamonds (less "Bling Bling") and fabricate a thicker head gasket. That sould lower the CR. As far as the Honda Forum? You have "Diamond Plate" under your hood. I think you would fit there better then I. I also want to appologize to everyone reading this. Please don't take my word on it. Call ERT, Dinan, Turner, and any of the people mentioned in my earlier post. Ask them about the Powerdyne running more the 8 PSI on a BMW. Thank You Bill P Last edited by Bad Bimr : 02-18-2004 at 10:27 PM. |

| Ah c'mon kids, stop your bickering. When this forum members reduce themselves to namecalling, it lessens the validity, in my opionion, of the writers. I'm here to try and learn before making some (fairly expensive since I can't fabricate the parts) mods to my m3. Just my $.02, Jeff
