Question s/afc car tunning

my brother got this air fuel controler for his turbo car. i have heard that it might work for a supercharged car like mine. have any of you tried to use a product like this on your s/c car.

http://www.sounddomain.com/sku/APX401A007

i just want to make sure my car is tunned propperly and wont run to lean or to rich, and get optimum out put of my s/c engine.

so my question is can and have ppl used a kit like this on the s/c car?

Do you recromend it?

s-afc

the s-afc fuel controller will work on a s/c application but only to a certain extent if the original motor was meant to be naturally aspirated not turbo or superchaged. The reason is because the mass air flow on a n/a motor cannot account for the extra air that is flowing throught the motor from the supercharger. I have tried to use one of these on my old toyota tacoma (supercharged) and it was pretty much worhtless. However I have one on my EVO and it makes sick power. The difference is that the toyota was n/a setup from the factory and the evo is setup with turbo in mind so the controller is able to do what it needs to do.

BTW- the concept of the SAFC is very simple just in case you were wondering. For example, if you add 5% correction at 3500 rpms and take out 10% at 6500 RPMS than then the computer will see 5% more air than is really coming across the MAF and richen the mixture accordingly and exactly the opposite the other way (10% less so leans out).

Hope this helps. Usually in my past experience I have seen people put in boost dependent regulators and larger fuel pumps and let the stock ECU adjust as much as possible and they seem to do decent(at less than 8psi though)..this is just IMO.

I have heard that mustang dyno's are pretty sick and consistent but in all truth every dyno has high and low points and you just have tune relative to the dyno you choose to use. Sorry thats kinda vague but its the best I can answer on that..
