99' A6 2.8 quattro upgrades

i have a 99' A6 with about 10100 miles or so on it. it is a quattro avant and i am looking to up the horsepower a little without causing a lot of extra wear and tear on the engine. I am pretty new to upgrades so any suggestions??

that'd have the 30-valve V6, right?

$5k is kind of a lot for a roots blower, manifold, injectors, and a remap, but it's all i know of for that engine.
