Best CR for 7-8psi

what octane gas are you going to be running? 10.5:1 seems a safe compression ratio if running 93 octane and higher.

Don't forget that the S38 does NOT have knock control. Means you have to be very careful when trying to run boost levels that in many cases would be considered very safe on an E36 M/S 50/52 series engine...

Yes 93 octane
Yes knock sensor i a problem please do you know aftermarket knock sensor ?
I am thinking for about 9.0-9.5:1 for 7psi later maybe 9
